sleepytheprince is a rapper, producer, composer and creative director. Portuguese and Angolan, working out of Lisbon, signed to Virgin Music Portugal.

He started in 2014. In 2017 he studied at the Neval Music Academy in Luanda. From 2022 the name began to travel, and the helmet became the first thing people recognised.

The voice is the instrument. Auto-tune is not a disguise here, it is a way of stretching a melody to the point where it still means something. Underneath there are guitars and there are 808s, and the sound moves through rap, R&B and pop without asking permission from any of them.

Six records so far. HIGH DESDE O COMEÇO in 2020, IN MELANCHOLIC DREAMS 2 in 2021, IN MELANCHOLIC DREAMS 3 in 2022, THE NINJA SPIRIT in 2024, BLACKOUT with DJ Dadda in 2025, and CAPACETE PRETO in May 2026.

Live he has played NOS Alive, MEO Sudoeste, Sumol Summer Fest, Festival Iminente and Festival F, and sold out Musicbox on his own name. In 2025 he recorded with DJ Dadda, with Agir, and appeared on Mizzy Miles’ Fim do Nada alongside Diogo Piçarra. That same year he signed a partnership with Bershka.

On the cover of THE NINJA SPIRIT he holds a blue flame in one hand and a red flame in the other. On CAPACETE PRETO the two are no longer separate. The sky turned violet.
